COLLECTIONS WORK EXPERIENCE - VOLUNTEER 

As a Collections Work Experience Volunteer, you will assist our Collections Officers with tasks that include:

  • Data entry using the Modes Complete Collections Management System in line with Spectrum Standards.

  • Photographing objects for inclusion in our collections database.

  • Monitoring environmental conditions of storerooms using Microsoft Excel and checking pest traps.

  • Handling and packing objects according to best practice.

  • Moving objects within the museum.

  • Accessioning new donations in accordance with our documentation procedures.

Duration: 2 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday), 3 - 4 months placement (24 days) 

Time: 10am - 4pm 

Renumeration: £1,500 (To receive the full bursary, you must complete 24 sessions over a 3-4 month period)

Location: Watford Museum, Benskin House, 194 High Street, Watford, WD17 2DT (Watford Museum is next door to Watford High Street Station)
