Watford High Street

Watford is reputed to have one of the longest High Streets in the country, stretching a mile in length from Bushey Arches to the Town Hall. Before the coming of the railways and the growth of the town, Watford was little more than this one long street and surrounding farmland, so it has been a focus for the history of the town from the very beginning
